The Carpool concept was introduced by Mr. Yogesh Saini in 2004, when very few people in India knew about it and the concept had to be explained to many people.
The journey
The initiative started with the domains CarpoolIndia.com and IndiaCarpool.com. Later, as India's internet ecosystem evolved and the .IN domain space became available, the Carpool.in domain was acquired.
